B.Z. Goldberg

An influential figure in Israeli cinema, B.Z. Goldberg was born in 1925 in Dimona, Israel. During his active years from the 1950s through the 1980s, he created notable works primarily in the documentary genre, with his most famous films being "The Land of the Settlers" and "Promised Land". Although not heavily awarded at major film festivals, Goldberg's work is characterized by its poignant examination of Israeli society, its conflicts and its relationship with its neighbors.
