Acclaimed British director Beeban Kidron was born in 1961 in London, England. She has been active in the film industry from the early 1980s, predominantly working within the genres of drama and comedy with notable films including "To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar" and "Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason"; she also received a BAFTA nomination for her documentary "Sex, Death and the Gods".
