Blessy

An auteur who blends social realism with nuanced storytelling, Blessy was born in 1971 in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. Starting from 1986, he has predominantly worked in the Malayalam cinema, crafting narratives in drama, romance, and adventure genres, with some of his most acclaimed works being "Kazhcha," "Thanmathra," and "Pranayam." His films have been recognized with multiple awards, including five Kerala State Film Awards and several others at major Indian film festivals, much of which can be attributed to his unique authorial style of delving into the human psyche and societal issues. Blessy is a filmmaker who, with his keen sense of observation and empathetic portrayal of characters, has added a new dimension to Indian cinema.
