Caylee So

Caylee So, a voice of resilience and identity in the cinematic world, was born in 1981 in a refugee camp in Thailand after her parents fled the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Emigrating to the United States, So started her directorial journey in the early 2000s, with her work primarily focusing on the themes of displacement, identity, and the Cambodian-American experience. Her most notable works include "Paulina" and "In The Life of Music", the latter winning the Audience Choice Award at the Cambodia Town Film Festival and being selected as Cambodia's entry for the Best International Feature Film at the Oscars.
