Errol Etienne

Errol Etienne, a visionary storyteller of Caribbean cinema, was born in 1962 in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. Active from the 1980s onwards, Etienne primarily focused on dramas and documentaries, with his most notable works including "A Cry for Paradise" and "The Dawn of a New Day," which have been celebrated for their profound exploration of Caribbean identity and post-colonial realities. Although he hasn't clinched an award at the major film festivals yet, his distinctive and authentic narrative style has garnered him international acclaim and a devoted following.
