Guðný Halldórsdóttir
A master of Icelandic cinema, Guðný Halldórsdóttir was born in Reykjavík, Iceland, in 1954 and began her active filmmaking career in the 1980s. Predominantly working within the genres of drama and comedy, she has created a number of noteworthy films, including "Under the Glacier" and "The Quiet Storm", with the latter earning her a nomination for the Nordic Council Film Prize.
