Ichinosuke Akikaze

A mastermind of the 20th century Japanese cinema, Ichinosuke Akikaze was born in 1925 in Tokyo, Japan. His active years spanned from the 1950s to the late 1980s, during which he created mesmerizing films primarily in the genres of drama and romance, with his most famous works including "The Autumn Wind" and "Spring's Soft Whisper". Although Akikaze never won at major film festivals, he was highly praised in his home country and received many domestic awards, while his authorial style was characterized by his ability to weave intricate human emotions and the changing seasons into his narratives.
