Ivo Caprino, the master of Norwegian puppet animation. Born in 1920 in Oslo, Norway, Caprino's career spanned over five decades from the 1940s to the 1990s, during which he primarily worked in the animation and family genres. He is globally recognized for his legendary film "Flåklypa Grand Prix" (Pinchcliffe Grand Prix), which not only remains the most widely seen Norwegian film but also won him a Special Award at the Amanda Awards, Norway's national film awards. Caprino's authorial style is renowned for its enchanting narratives, innovative puppetry, and meticulous attention to detail, earning him the title of the "Walt Disney of Scandinavia".
