James Rewucki

James Rewucki

The architect of the eerie, James Rewucki, was born in 1973 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He has been active as a filmmaker since the late 1990s, primarily working within the realms of horror, suspense, and experimental cinema, with his most notable works including "Aegri Somnia" and "Tempus Tormentum", the latter of which earned him the Best Director award at the Terror in the Bay Film Festival. His authorial style is marked by a blend of surrealism, atmospheric dread, and psychological horror, often resorting to unconventional narrative structures and deep character studies.

On a personal note, despite the dark tones in his films, Rewucki himself is a passionate artist, committed to exploring and pushing the boundaries of independent cinema with his distinctive storytelling.
