Jian Wei

The embodiment of contemporary Chinese visual storytelling, Jian Wei was born in 1973 in Beijing, China. Active from the late 1990s to the present, Wei has become a master of drama and romance genres, with his most famous films including "Lost in Beijing" and "Ever Since We Love", the latter which earned him a nomination at the Golden Rooster Awards. His directorial style is defined by its deep introspection, social commentary, and his exquisite ability to capture the human emotion in every frame.
