Johan Grimonprez
Internationally recognized filmmaker Johan Grimonprez was born in 1962 in Roeselare, Belgium. His directorial career took off in the late 1980s, during which he has primarily worked within the documentary and experimental genres, with his most celebrated works including "Dial H-I-S-T-O-R-Y" and "Shadow World," the latter of which won the Cinema for Peace Award for Most Valuable Documentary of the Year in 2017.
