Kamaran Karym

Kamaran Karym, a vision of bold storytelling in Kurdish Cinema. Born in 1971 in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq, Karym was an active director from the late 1990s through the 2000s, primarily working in the genres of drama and documentary. His most noted works are "Crossing the Dust" (2006) and "Kick Off" (2009), with the latter winning the Special Jury Prize at the Dubai International Film Festival, illustrating his ability to capture the raw essence of Kurdish life in his films.
