Kangmin Kim, a master of stop-motion and animated films, was born in 1981 in Seoul, South Korea. He began his active film career in 2004 and has made significant contributions to the genres of animation, fantasy, and short films, with "38-39°C" and "Deer Flower" being some of his most acclaimed works. Kim's unique authorial style, characterized by blending 2D and 3D techniques with a personal narrative, has won him recognition at prestigious film festivals around the world, including the Best Animated Short Film award at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival for his film "Deer Flower".
