Keiichi Hara

Master of Japanese animation, Keiichi Hara was born in 1959 in Tatebayashi, Gunma, Japan. He has been active in the film industry since 1982, predominantly creating films in the animation and drama genres, with his most renowned works including "Summer Days with Coo" and "Miss Hokusai", the latter earning him the Jury Award at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Hara's distinctive authorial style is marked by his ability to infuse ordinary life with layers of emotional depth and subtle social critique.
