Carax, active from 1980 till the present, has predominantly worked in the realm of drama, romance, and fantasy genres, with his most famous films including "Les Amants du Pont-Neuf", "Pola X", and his latest masterpiece, "Annette". His artistic style is defined by his audacious visual storytelling, characterized by the blend of stark realism with poetic lyricism, which has earned him numerous awards including the Cannes Film Festival's Award for Best Director.
