Masakazu Higuchi

An iconic figure in the world of Japanese animation, Masakazu Higuchi was born in the year 1938 in Tokyo, Japan. He was active in the industry from 1963 until his death in 2014, chiefly working within the genres of animation and fantasy, with some of his most renowned films being "The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon" and the "Unico" series. While he may not have been a staple at major film festivals, Higuchi received recognition for his work with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival.
