Michael Shanks

A master of visual effects and fantasy storytelling, Australian director Michael Shanks was born in 1985 in Pakenham, Victoria, Australia. Active from 2009 to the present day, Shanks has primarily worked within the genres of fantasy, horror, and sci-fi, most notably with his widely acclaimed web series, "The Wizards of Aus," and his award-winning short film, "Time Trap." Known for his innovative use of visual effects and his unique ability to blend humor with high-concept storylines, Shanks has also received recognition for his work, including an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award for "The Wizards of Aus."
