Michel Brault

A master of cinema verité, Michel Brault was born in Montreal, Canada in 1928 and was actively involved in filmmaking from 1958 until his death in 2013. Known for his adeptness in documentary and drama genres, Brault's most celebrated works include "Pour la suite du monde" and "Les Ordres," the latter earning him the Best Director award at the 1975 Cannes Film Festival.
