Japanese master of chills, Norio Tsuruta was born in 1960 in Hiroshima, Japan. Tsuruta was active in the film industry from the late 80s to the mid-2000s, primarily directing in the horror genre with notable films like "Ring 0: Birthday" and "Premonition". Whilst he may not have won major festival awards, Tsuruta's distinct style of blending traditional Japanese horror elements with psychological thriller aspects has cemented his status in the genre.
