Born in 1973 in Kerala, India, Prashant Nair started his active years in the film industry in 2011, predominately working in the drama genre. He gained international recognition with his films "Delhi in a Day" and "Umrika", the latter winning the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015. Nair's authorial style brilliantly combines social realism with a unique, satirical sense of humor, creating a richly nuanced cinematic language that reflects the complexities of contemporary Indian society.
