Safa Al Ahmad

Saudi Arabian filmmaker and journalist, Safa Al Ahmad, was born in 1982 in Saudi Arabia. Since beginning her illustrious career in the mid-2000s, Al Ahmad has primarily focused on documentary filmmaking, with a particular emphasis on the Middle East; her most notable works include "Saudi's Secret Uprising" and "The Fight for Yemen," for which she received the 2015 Index on Censorship Freedom of Expression Award for Journalism.
