Shin'ya Tsukamoto
The maestro of Japanese cyberpunk, Shin'ya Tsukamoto, was born in 1960 in Tokyo, Japan. Active from the mid-1980s, Tsukamoto has excelled in genres of horror and science fiction, delivering iconic movies such as "Tetsuo: The Iron Man" and "A Snake of June", the latter of which won him a Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. His authorial style is characterized by a focus on the fusion of man and machine, often exploring themes of urban alienation and physical transformation.
