Sólveig Anspach
Icelandic-French visionary, Sólveig Anspach, was born in 1960 in Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland and remained an active filmmaker from 1994 until her death in 2015. Predominantly a director of drama and comedy films, Anspach is best known for her acclaimed works such as "Haut les Coeurs!" which won the Best Film Award at the Namur International Festival of French-Speaking Film, and "Lulu femme nue" for which Karin Viard won the Best Actress Cesar award. Anspach's work often reflects her unique authorial style, characterized by a deep sense of humanity, subtle humor, and a keen observation of social issues.
