Sterlin Harjo

A master of contemporary indigenous narratives, Sterlin Harjo was born in 1979 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, USA. He started his directorial journey in the early 2000s, engaging audiences with his distinctive storytelling in the genres of drama and documentary, most notably with films such as "Four Sheets to the Wind" and "Barking Water", the former of which earned him a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Harjo's authorial style is characterized by a deep exploration of Native American culture and the human condition, portrayed through a blend of humor and tragedy.
