Terje Toftenes

Norwegian master of the uncanny, Terje Toftenes was born in 1952 in Oslo, Norway. Active as a filmmaker since the late 1970s, he has made a name for himself in the world of documentary and horror cinema, with his most acclaimed works being "The Portal: The Hessdalen Light Phenomenon" and "The Day Before Disclosure". Although he has not been recognized by major film festivals, his distinct authorial style of combining factual investigation with elements of the supernatural has earned him a dedicated cult following.
