Waris Hussein

The Indian-born British director, Waris Hussein, was born in 1938 in Lucknow, India and commenced his directing career in the mid-1960s. He is renowned for predominantly directing dramas and romance films, most notably, "A Touch of Love" (1969) and the acclaimed television drama, "Edward & Mrs. Simpson" (1978), which earned him a BAFTA TV award.
