William Dear

A masterful storyteller through the lens of a camera, William Dear was born in 1944 in Toronto, Canada. His active filmmaking years span from 1978 to present, during which time he sculpted his craft predominantly in the genres of comedy, family, and adventure, with some of his most notable works being "Harry and the Hendersons", "Angels in the Outfield", and "If Looks Could Kill". Although he hasn't clinched any major film festival awards, he received a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program for "Santa Who?" in 2001.
