Having just received her Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, Paula can now use her degree for its intended purpose. A mother with her child and another woman in the park exchange social niceties about the crying child among other things. In reading an article, one of two women doing research in a quiet library can't help being reminded of the most disgusting video she's ever seen. A woman, with a group of friends trying on clothes at a store, comes to a realization about reaching the next phase of her life. Kate, a downer of a woman, is invited to the lakeside cabin with "friends" for a reason. With nobody looking, Julia finally decides to photocopy her derriere with negative consequences. And Maude wants to declutter her kitchen cupboards of all the plastic containers which are taking over.
