Hamilton travels to meet with several research scientists to understand how or why tramadol, believed to be a purely synthetic lab created substance, was found in harvested African ibogaine root. Is it also found naturally and we were previously unaware of it? Is there a different conclusion such as lab error or environmental waste contamination of the ibogaine root prior to its harvest? He then travels to Africa to learn how this plant is being used as a treatment for Tramadol addiction and a variety of other physical and mental ailments.
