Episode Overview
Jamie starts his version of super foods, on healthy ingredients of lifestyles producing exceptionally many centennials, with his versions of eggy bread, where he stuff thick slices of dark bread with fruits. Fresh eggs star in his first healthy region visit, on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, followed by his variation on an Indian 'daal' lunch and ideas to make ice water fun to help drinking enough. Off to the Greek longevity-champion island Ikaria (Aegean), where goats outnumber inhabitants fourfold. Their milk is staple food, meat a rarer treat at parties, where the seniors show even more stamina the, the young. Jamie's recipes using their grill tradition are for flatfish (such as lemon sole) and veggie-lean steak.
