Step Dave - Season 1 Episode 2

Dave suspects that Cara is embarrassed of their age difference. Julia is determined to find out what the catch is with Cara's new mystery man. Dave has been taking Cara on many dates, to action movies and games arcades, but he's aware she's keeping a little distance between them. When he learns that she's going to the theatre and that he's not invited, Dave decides to show her he can be cultured and mature too. Dave and Azza attend the theatre show, only to discover it's a primary school concert. Cara is embarrassed when Dave and Azza accidentally cause a commotion and get thrown out. When she learns Dave wants to meet her kids properly, Cara is reluctant – she doesn't want them getting too attached in case it doesn't last. Cara is still burned after she and the kids were abandoned by her husband Stewie, eight years ago. Dave's mate Azza is down on women after being tormented on a daily basis by his office nemesis Betty. Dave and Azza take refuge at the bar, feeling sorry for themselves. Eventually Cara realises she has to take a risk, and she arranges for Dave to come around and meet Scarlett, Jasmine, Logan and their grandmother Marion. Dave is hopeful that his girlfriend's kids like him, but for Scarlett and Jasmine, it's hate at first sight.
